If you’re looking for a unique and educational experience in Grand Cayman, be sure to visit the Cayman Turtle Centre, also known as the Sea Turtle Farm. Here you can learn about the fascinating world of sea turtles, see them up close, and even interact with them.

The Sea Turtle Farm is located in West Bay, just a short drive from Seven Mile Beach. It’s the only facility of its kind in the Caribbean and is home to thousands of sea turtles of various species, including green sea turtles and loggerhead sea turtles. The facility is dedicated to conservation efforts, as well as research and education.

During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the farm and learn about the life cycle of sea turtles, their habitats, and the threats they face in the wild. You’ll also get to see the different stages of development, from hatchlings to adults, and even get to hold and feed the baby turtles.

One of the highlights of the Sea Turtle Farm is the chance to swim with the turtles in the lagoon. You’ll be able to get up close and personal with these gentle creatures as you swim alongside them in the crystal-clear waters. There’s also a touch tank where you can touch and learn about other marine animals like starfish and conch.

For those interested in learning more about the conservation efforts, the Sea Turtle Farm offers a hatchling release program, where visitors can participate in releasing baby turtles into the ocean. This program is part of the center’s efforts to repopulate the wild sea turtle population and help ensure their survival.

The Sea Turtle Farm is open daily, and admission prices vary depending on the activities you choose to participate in. It’s a great experience for families, animal lovers, and anyone interested in learning about conservation efforts.
