If you’re looking for a unique and awe-inspiring experience in Grand Cayman, be sure to visit the Crystal Caves. This underground wonderland is located in Northside and is one of the most popular attractions on the island.

The Crystal Caves formed over millions of years and were once used as hideouts for local pirates. In the 1990s, a more comprehensive exploration of the island’s caves began uncovering unique features of the Old Man Bay caves, setting them apart from other caves on the island and most other caves in the world.

During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the caves and learn about their history and formation. You’ll be able to see stunning crystal formations, stalactites, stalagmites, and other unique rock formations that have been formed over millions of years. The caves are also home to beautiful underground lakes and streams, which add to the overall beauty of the area.

The Crystal Caves tour takes approximately 90 minutes, and there is a moderate amount of walking involved. Visitors are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a light jacket or sweater, as the temperature inside the caves is cooler than outside.

In addition to the cave tour, there is also a gift shop where you can purchase souvenirs and snacks, and a picnic area where you can enjoy a packed lunch or snack before or after your tour.

The Crystal Caves are open daily, and admission prices vary depending on the activities you choose to participate in. It’s a great experience for families, nature lovers, and anyone interested in geology and the natural world.
